The October District Court of Irkutsk found the deputy general director of the «Irkutsk Electric Grid Company» Alexey Drobashenko guilty of «discrediting» the army and fined him 30,000 rubles, reported «Siberian Express».

The protocol against Drobashenko was drawn up following a report by pro-government activists of «NOD Baikal» to the regional prosecutor's office, who requested to check the official's publication from January 6, 2025. In the appeal, the applicants stated that in the text of the publication, the «author calls the special military operation a «tragic February», a «massive madness», and the Russian army itself a «parade». First, the prosecutor's office, then the police, and finally the court agreed with the opinion of the pro-government activists.

Drobashenko runs his Telegram channel «Duty Officer in Siberia», where he criticizes the current governor Kobzev. He also announced his support for the communist candidate in the upcoming regional governor elections.

IESK, a company with state participation, is also associated with En+ structures, close to Oleg Deripaska. Drobashenko is known as one of the members of his team — back in the early 2000s, he headed the public relations department of «Siberian Aluminum».
