Convicted opposition deputy of the Krasnoyarsk Krai Legislative Assembly Alexander Gliskov signed a contract to participate in the war

Last fall, he was sentenced to 10 years in a penal colony for accepting a bribe, which he considers to be politically motivated

The convicted deputy of the Krasnoyarsk Krai Legislative Assembly, Alexander Gliskov, signed a contract to participate in the war against Ukraine, according to a Telegram channel managed by the politician's team after his arrest.

Gliskov announced his intention to go to the front at the end of March during a court hearing on his appeal against the sentence.

The deputy of the Krasnoyarsk Krai Legislative Assembly from the LDPR, Alexander Gliskov, was sentenced in October 2024 to ten years of imprisonment and a fine of ten million rubles. The investigation claimed that in 2016-2017, the deputy received a bribe in an especially large amount, but his supporters consider the case politically motivated. In their opinion, the real reason for the prosecution was Gliskov's success in the Krasnoyarsk Krai governor elections in 2023 — he took second place, losing only to the Kremlin's candidate Mikhail Kotyukov.

Two months after the elections, the deputy was arrested on charges of extorting a bribe from an employee of the regional road organization. Gliskov calls his prosecution politically motivated and the case fabricated.
