The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and a close participant in Russian-American negotiations with Putin, Kirill Dmitriev, along with his wife Natalya Popova, a friend of Putin's daughter Katerina Tikhonova and her deputy in the Innopraktika fund, own property in Russia, France, and the UAE with a total value of 7.5 billion rubles, investigators from FBK have found.
As noted by FBK, before starting public service, Dmitriev owned real estate worth 420 million rubles, and over the years of his work at RDIF, the total value of the official's assets increased almost 20 times.
According to the investigation, the official owns a villa and an apartment on Cap d'Antibes in France, as well as an apartment in Courchevel. Their total value is 16 million euros or 1.5 billion rubles. Formally, these assets are registered to the companies Veles Property and Rocket Holdings, which in 2018 were established by Dmitriev's then 70-year-old father, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Oleksandr Dmitriev. The Cypriot offshore Giscono Holdings Limited is also registered to him and the official's wife, Natalya Popova.
Dmitriev's father is also registered as the owner of two apartments with a total area of 980 square meters, occupying an entire floor in the residential complex IL Primo in Dubai. The purchase price in August 2022 was almost 8.5 million euros.
In addition, the official owns more than five apartments in Moscow. Two of them, worth 1.8 billion rubles, are located in a building on Malaya Bronnaya. Another one, in the residential complex “Kutuzovsky 12”, was purchased by Popova in 2020 for 213 million rubles. Dmitriev's wife also owns a 200-meter apartment in the residential complex “Fantasy Island”. Two other apartments in the same complex are registered to her brother Pavel Popov.
Additionally, Dmitriev's mother-in-law is registered as the owner of a 1500-meter house in Barvikha worth 1.25 billion rubles. The money for the purchase was provided to the 70-year-old pensioner by the offshore Giscono Holdings Limited, owned by Dmitriev's father.
