On Russky Island (Primorsky Krai), a secret resort for the military leadership operates under the guise of a shooting complex, discovered the investigative project «System». The site, located in the bay on the shore, is listed in the Rosreestr as a «training base for a sports shooting complex».
According to the publication, in 2020, the Ministry of Defense allocated a 20-hectare plot on Russky Island for the shooting complex. However, instead of a training ground, a complex of luxurious chalets was built on the allocated plot, with nothing on the site resembling a military facility. The plot where the chalets are located is under the management of the Ministry of Defense's military forestry.
The complex was built in the Japanese style and named «Gekuro», in honor of a rare type of Japanese green tea. Investigators found a detailed interior plan in the catalog of the construction company «KLM-Art». A company employee told the publication that the client of the complex was a private individual, whom he refused to name. According to «VChK-OGPU»**, the construction was carried out by the company «PKB Parus», which is confirmed by the company's reports.
As «System» writes, «PKB Parus» is connected with the business of Gennady Timchenko and his son-in-law Gleb Frank. In particular, the company is headed by Denis Stroitelev, who worked for both.
On the territory, there is a «guest house» with an area of 530 sq. meters, five houses «for temporary stay», a checkpoint, a helipad, and a floating pier for boats and yachts. The project also includes a beach house, a playground, a climbing wall, several fire pits, and even an apiary. The resort on Russky Island may become a new episode in the case of former Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov, who allegedly ordered the allocation of the plot in Primorsky Krai for the construction of a military facility, claims «VChK-OGPU».
