Ukraine reported the return of 909 bodies of fallen servicemen. They were transferred from the directions of Kurakhovo, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, from the Luhansk region and Zaporizhzhia, as well as from morgues on the territory of Russia, according to the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War of Ukraine.
The bodies of 43 people were returned to Russia, said Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
The Ukrainian side thanked the International Committee of the Red Cross for its assistance in returning the bodies of Ukrainian defenders. Ukraine and Russia regularly exchange the bodies of fallen servicemen with the participation of forensic experts from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
According to Artur Dobroserdov, Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances, in the last four months, the Russian side has handed over twice as many bodies as during the entire period of the full-scale war.
