The Petrogradsky District Court sent Vakhtang Rogava to a detention center on charges of 'justifying terrorism', the press service of the St. Petersburg courts reported.
According to the investigation, in February, Rogava, 'while at his place of residence, posted a comment on the internet in one of the communities about the organization 'RDK', recognized as terrorist'. 'In this comment, Rogava compared normal members of the 'RDK' with a 'bred Soviet herd', that is, the Russian society', the investigator noted.
It is noted that the accused partially admitted guilt and requested a preventive measure in the form of house arrest or a ban on certain actions.
The 31-year-old Rogava was detained two days ago in his apartment. According to 'Rotonda', a criminal case was initiated against him after a prosecutor's check.
According to open data, before moving to St. Petersburg, Rogava lived in Sochi. He studied acting at the Institute of Cinema and Television. According to his former colleagues, during his studies at the university, a teacher helped him find a part-time job in the cinema — Vakhtang became an assistant working with extras.
The channel '78' reported that recently Vakhtang worked as an advertiser in a large agency organizing cultural events.
