As reported by the regional military administration, at night and in the morning, the Russian army carried out 36 shellings of border areas and settlements in the Sumy region, a residential apartment building and two medical facilities were attacked by drones, more than 60 people were evacuated.
On the evening of March 18, Russian military shelled an apartment building in the village of Ugroydy, Sumy region, resulting in the death of a 29-year-old man, and three more people were injured. The gas pipeline and neighboring houses were damaged.
Late in the evening, a Russian UAV fell on the roof of the regional clinical hospital in Sumy, damaging the building and nearby parked cars.
On the night of March 19, another hospital in the Sumy region was attacked by drones. Russian troops carried out 7 strikes on a medical facility in the Krasnopilsky district. Two drones attacked the building, causing a fire. When rescuers were extinguishing the fire and evacuating patients from the hospital, the Russians attacked the hospital again. The shelter was partially destroyed, trapping 22 patients, including 7 with limited mobility. Rescuers managed to free and evacuate them, a total of 60 people were saved.
