The head of the Ministry of Justice, Konstantin Chuychenko, announced the need to create legal regulations that will protect traditional spiritual and moral values from "external destructive influence," with the first version of the dictionary describing such values to appear by September.
According to the official, a whole "consortium of educational and scientific organizations" is working on the "normative explanatory dictionary."
"One of our priority areas is the activity of preserving and strengthening traditional Russian spiritual and moral values. It is necessary to create such legal regulations that will shield our values from external destructive influence. To facilitate this work, the law must be aligned with moral guidelines," TASS quotes the head of the Ministry of Justice.
The provisions of the dictionary are planned to be applied in the development of regulatory legal acts, as well as in the process of monitoring their enforcement, Chuychenko added.
In January, the Russian Orthodox Church called for the adoption of a law on traditional values to "implement all presidential imperatives into our legislation."
