The Krasnoyarsk City Hall denied the LDPR the right to hold a rally against the ban on mass events. The document was published by the head of the party faction in the regional legislative assembly, Alexey Boykov. Officials claim that «holding public events during the period of the special military operation declared by Russian President Putin is unacceptable».
Boykov emphasized that «the conduct of the special military operation itself cannot be a reason for such a refusal». The declared purpose of the rally does not touch upon the topic of military actions and is not directed against them.
«There was also a second reason — precisely on the dates when we planned the rally against the ban on rallies, they decided to carry out landscaping work in the park. I consider such a response another mockery and ridicule of the law», — Boykov stated in his Telegram channel.
Meanwhile, the deputy noted that the Krasnoyarsk administration holds its own public events during the «special military operation», «to which for some reason the law does not apply».
