The Prosecutor General's Office recognized the French association Pour l’Ukraine, pour leur Liberté et la Nôtre! ('For Ukraine, for their and our freedom!') as an 'undesirable' organization.
The Prosecutor General's Office states that the organization advocates for sanctions against Russia, spreads 'unreliable information' about the war in Ukraine, agitates against the participation of Russian athletes in international competitions, and is also a partner of other 'undesirable organizations'. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, Pour l’Ukraine collaborated with associations of Russians opposing the war, Russie-Libertes and the 'Anti-War Committee of Russia', which were previously recognized as 'undesirable'.
'The association's website is open for fundraising, including for the purchase of off-road vehicles for the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,' notes the department. It is likely referring to a Hyundai Tucson SUV, which the association purchased for Ukrainian military personnel involved in demining.
The association was established in the spring of 2022, and it included staff and students from French universities. Members of the association issued open letters calling for increased military aid to Ukraine and stricter sanctions against the Russian leadership and defense complex. They also organized solidarity actions with the people of Ukraine and conducted fundraising for electric generators and assistance in returning children taken by Russians.
