The journalist reported the initiation of the criminal case on the social network X. 'Today they came with a search to my parents' apartment in Ryazan, no one was there, so they just broke down the door. Well, I will work even more and better. I am confident in my rightness and the importance of what I do,' Yezhov wrote. The journalist himself is outside of Russia.
Yezhov was declared a 'foreign agent' in July last year, justifying the decision by the journalist's anti-war stance, as well as the fact that he distributed materials from other 'foreign agents' and 'inaccurate information' about Russian politics. After that, he was fined at least twice under an administrative article for not labeling materials as 'foreign agent'.
As calculated by 'Mediazona'**, by the end of 2024, 170 people received two fines under the administrative article for violating the order of activity of a 'foreign agent', and a criminal case can now be initiated against them.
