The Vice-Rector of the Higher School of Economics, Sergey Rozhkov, announced the opening of a separate educational program for training drone operators, as noted by the publication T-invariant*.
"The key innovation is the deployment of a separate training cycle for UAV operators at the Perm campus from September 1, 2025. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has allocated an additional quota for training 33 students, and work is currently underway to form the educational and material base and educational and methodological materials," Rozhkov said in an interview with "Vyshe for its own".
By the new academic year, it is planned to prepare full-fledged training cycles for students in the VUC and other campuses of the Higher School. The experience of conducting a 'special military operation' shows that the use of UAVs will become 'the basis of future military actions,' Rozhkov stated.
