Nate Vance and J.D. share the same grandparents, and the Vice President's mother is the sister of Nate's father.
After the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine in 2022, Nate Vance, a native of Texas, volunteered for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fought as part of the «Da Vinci Wolves» battalion. It is reported that Marine Nate participated in the battles for Kupiansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Pokrovsk. In January 2025, Nate Vance was discharged from service.
