The Southern District Military Court delivered a verdict in the criminal case against Senior Lieutenant Aydin Zhamidulov and his subordinate Private Alexey Dorozhkin, reported «Mediazona»* in the court's press service. They were accused of the murder of 23-year-old Valentina Davronova. Zhamidulov was sentenced to 18 years in a penal colony, stripped of his officer rank, and Dorozhkin to 12 years. Both were found guilty of «murder by a group of persons». Zhamidulov's charge also retained the qualifying feature of «with particular cruelty».
However, a number of charges were excluded, significantly reducing the sentence. Initially, they were also charged with kidnapping and desecration of a corpse, and Zhamidulov separately with preparation and organization of the murder of a person in a helpless state. However, during the trial, the court excluded all these charges from the indictment.
According to the investigation, on the evening of January 13, 2023, Officer Zhamidulov, in the company of other soldiers, was drinking alcohol in the Luhansk cafe «Rainbow». The 23-year-old Davronova, with whom Zhamidulov had previously had an intimate relationship, came to the establishment, and Zhamidulov was afraid that Davronova would tell his wife about their affair.
The girl was kidnapped and taken to the unit. To prevent subordinates from asking questions, Zhamidulov told them that the girl served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and had tattoos with Ukrainian symbols on her body. Then the victim was taken to the soldiers' bathhouse, where the officer inflicted about 20 stab wounds on her. When Sergeant Roman Plescheev accidentally entered the bathhouse, Zhamidulov ordered him to finish off the victim — he agreed and stabbed Davronova in the shoulder and leg. His case was considered separately, and he received a suspended sentence for causing moderate bodily harm. When Plescheev left the premises, Dorozhkin killed the victim with a knife to the heart. Then the comrades took the body outside the unit's territory and blew it up with three grenades.
Before his arrest, Zhamidulov was known as an author of «SVO» poetry. In November 2022, a video about him was published on the official Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense. In the video, Zhamidulov says that his wife and two daughters are proud of him.
