The FSB reported that the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine 'under the supervision of NATO special services' allegedly hacked the resources of the 'Avangard' and 'Yunarmiya' centers, which are engaged in 'military-patriotic education' of youth. They intercepted copies of letters inviting participation in the 'Military-Patriotic Dictation — 2024', altered them, and massively sent them to educational organizations in Moscow and the Moscow region. The FSB reported that they 'reacted in time and prevented negative consequences'.
'The FSB thwarted an operation supervised by NATO special services by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to intercept personal data of students from educational organizations in Moscow and the Moscow region for their further recruitment,' reported the COS.
It is claimed that the purpose of the operation was to steal personal data of teenagers from Moscow and the Moscow region for their subsequent recruitment.
'The changes made by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine pursued the main goal — to collect personal data of teenage children for their further recruitment and involvement in intelligence and subversive activities against the security of the Russian Federation, as well as to commit sabotage and terrorist acts on the territory of Russia,' noted the FSB.
