Financial Times reported on the cessation of intelligence data exchange with Ukraine, the publication writes about this with reference to its sources.
As the publication writes, «US intelligence cooperation was crucial for Ukraine's ability to identify and attack Russian military targets». Now Washington has «frozen» these channels.
US intelligence is also extremely important for Ukraine in defense against Russian attacks. Its loss could be devastating.
From the secret data that the US previously shared with Ukraine, it was known when and where Russian bombers were taking off for strikes on the country. Thanks to this, Ukraine had from several minutes to several hours to prepare for attacks.
The US also provided data on the estimated routes of up to 200 Russian kamikaze drones per night. This allowed mobile anti-aircraft groups to timely move into positions and shoot down Russian strike drones before they reached critical infrastructure.
The information about the cessation of intelligence data transfer was confirmed to Fox News journalist Jackie Heinrich by CIA Director John Lee Ratcliffe. «A pause on the military front, on the intelligence front, to hold everyone accountable, to ensure peace around the world», she quotes the head of the CIA.
