In Moscow, the police are not allowing people to approach the memorial on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge, detentions have begun

According to RusNews, since early morning, police officers have been stationed at the Boris Nemtsov memorial on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge, prohibiting people from stopping at the memorial because some "special event" is taking place there. Officers from the "E" center with covered faces are also present, filming everyone who lays flowers at the memorial. "We gather everyone, have a conversation, and drive them away," a correspondent quotes a conversation between the law enforcement officers.

Meanwhile, the ambassadors of the EU, France, Italy, and Germany laid flowers at the site of Boris Nemtsov's murder. After that, the law enforcement officers again drove away those wishing to leave flowers in memory of the deceased politician, citing an unknown "special event," reports RusNews.

At the end of the bridge, there are four police vans. Despite this, people continue to lay flowers at the memorial. According to a RusNews correspondent, detentions have begun — a man was taken to a police van at the end of the Moskvoretsky Bridge, claiming that he "waved his hands towards the police officers and spoke loudly, disturbing public order."

At Boris Nemtsov's burial site at the Troekurovsky Cemetery in Moscow, the first bouquets and messages have started to appear. A note "from your friend Ilya Yashin" lies at the politician's tombstone, along with a card featuring lines from poet and musician Alexander Bashlachev.

Residents of St. Petersburg pay tribute to Nemtsov at the monument to victims of political repression on Trinity Square. A photo of the politician and several bouquets have appeared at the Solovetsky Stone. One of the first to honor Nemtsov's memory was 84-year-old blockade survivor and former candidate for governor of St. Petersburg, Lyudmila Vasilyeva.

The police do not interfere with laying flowers but prohibit standing too close to each other.

In Tomsk, a sheet with the inscription "Fight 2015" and flowers appeared at the Stone of Sorrow.

In Novosibirsk, a police detail has been stationed at the monument to victims of political repression since morning, recording the details of everyone who brings flowers.
