In the Boryspil district of the Kyiv region, a person was killed as a result of a Russian air attack using drones. A fire also broke out in a warehouse, and buildings were damaged.
«As a result of the enemy drone attack in the Boryspil district, a 60-year-old man died at a railway crossing. Death occurred before the arrival of medics», — reported the head of the regional military administration, Nikolai Kalashnikov. He also added that a fire started in one of the warehouse premises.
The Ukrainian railway service reported that the crossing guard in the Boryspil district, who was at his workplace, was killed.
The National Police reported that windows in a multi-story residential building were damaged, a private residential house was destroyed, and a kindergarten, educational institution, store, and six cars were also damaged.
The Air Forces of Ukraine reported that on the night of February 22, Russia attacked many regions of Ukraine with 162 strike drones from Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
«As of 08:00, the downing of 82 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and other types of drones has been confirmed», — the military reported. In addition, 75 decoy drones were lost in location.
Air defense operated in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
