On the night of February 18, in the city of Dolynska, Kirovohrad region, a Russian drone hit a multi-story building during an air attack. Three people were injured, including children. As clarified by the head of the OVA, Andriy Raikovych, it was a woman with two children. «They were immediately provided with medical assistance. The older girl did not require hospitalization», — wrote the official, adding that residents were evacuated from 38 apartments in the building.
According to the National Police, information about the incident has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, which records Russia's war crimes.
In close proximity to the city of Dolynska is the Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Enrichment Plant. The settlement is called an important railway junction.
In Zaporizhzhia, during an artillery shelling, an 80-year-old man died, his body was found under the rubble of a house. During the day, the Russian army carried out 398 strikes on 9 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, the regional military administration reported.
As stated by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from the evening of February 17, Russian military attacked Ukraine with 176 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of drone decoys, 170 drones did not reach their targets. «As of 9:00, the downing of 103 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and other types of drones in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions has been confirmed. 67 enemy drone decoys were lost without negative consequences», — the military reported.
The drones were launched from Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and from annexed Crimea.
