Rosfinmonitoring added 174 organizations to the 'list of terrorists and extremists', noted the publication '7×7'*. Most of the organizations on the list are republican governments in exile, decolonial movements, and national battalions fighting on the side of Ukraine. Among them are the 'Government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria in exile', 'Free Circassia', 'Republic of Koenigsberg', 'Nizhny Novgorod Republic', and many others.
Some organizations have been listed for the second time. For example, the Tatar nationalist party 'Revival', which was previously included in the registry in October 2024 by court decision. In addition, organizations that the Russian authorities consider subdivisions of the Free Russia Foundation** were re-listed, including the 'Free Buryatia' and 'Free Yakutia' funds. In the spring, the Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit to recognize the 'international public movement for the destruction of multinational unity and territorial integrity of Russia' as an extremist organization. In early summer, the Supreme Court of Russia satisfied this requirement, and in July, Rosfinmonitoring added more than 50 organizations to the 'list of terrorists and extremists', including the Free Russia Foundation.
In January, the non-existent Belgorod People's Republic was declared a 'terrorist organization'—this is a Ukrainian meme about the annexation of the Belgorod region to Ukraine by analogy with the LPR and DPR.
