Excluded from the amnesty project for the 80th anniversary of Victory in WWII are those convicted of 'discrediting' the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, 'fakes' and 'justification of terrorism'

The bill itself is also unlikely to be adopted, as now prisoners can be released from the colony by going to war

As reported by RusNews, in the amnesty project presented by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation for the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, already submitted to the State Duma, the exceptions include articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which are charged to the majority of political prisoners: repeated 'discrediting' of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, dissemination of military 'fakes' and 'justification of terrorism'.

This means that those accused and convicted under these articles will not fall under the amnesty, even if they belong to social groups that meet its conditions: pregnant women and women with children, single men with children, people older than retirement age, disabled people of groups I and II.

Meanwhile, United Russia deputies declare that amnesty is not needed this year, as prisoners can 'wash away their guilt with blood' in the 'Special Military Operation'. In this regard, experts believe that the amnesty bill will not be adopted at all.
