The sanctions list also includes businessmen Kostyantyn Zhevago and Hennadiy Boholyubov

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the application of indefinite sanctions against five influential figures in the country following the decision of the NSDC. The sanctions list includes businessmen Ihor Kolomoisky, Kostyantyn Zhevago, Hennadiy Boholyubov, former president Petro Poroshenko, and former deputy Viktor Medvedchuk.

As reported by «RBC-Ukraine», the sanctions package includes 17 restrictive measures, among which are asset blocking, a ban on trade operations, and the revocation of state awards. At the same time, personal restrictions have been imposed on each of the oligarchs.

Thus, sanctions against Petro Poroshenko include the revocation of state awards of Ukraine and other forms of recognition. His assets are subject to blocking, which provides for a temporary ban on their use and disposal, particularly through affiliated persons or companies. A complete cessation of trade operations has also been introduced, significantly limiting his economic activities and the transfer of capital abroad. The sanctions provide for the suspension of economic and financial obligations and a ban on participation in the privatization or leasing of state property. Restrictions have been imposed on the use of the radio frequency spectrum and the complete cessation of electronic communication services. Poroshenko is also prohibited from carrying out public and defense procurements, and foreign vessels and military ships associated with him are banned from entering Ukrainian ports and airspace. Restrictions have been established on increasing the authorized capital of companies in which he has a share or influence.

Medvedchuk, accused of treason, was exchanged for 200 Ukrainian prisoners of war in September 2022 and is currently in Russia, while the other figures on the list, except for Poroshenko, are already under investigation. Kolomoisky is suspected of embezzling $15 billion from PrivatBank, and Boholyubov, according to the investigation, left the country with forged documents in June 2024. Zhevago, who was accused of embezzling funds from the bank «Finance and Credit», avoided extradition from France to Ukraine at the end of 2023.

Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called the imposition of sanctions against him a «colossal blow to the internal unity» of the country.
