According to law enforcement, he 'made offensive statements against law enforcement officers' and natives of Central Asia

Law enforcement detained the founder of the project 'Beautiful Russia', blogger Yevgeny Anisimov, for videos on his YouTube channel, reported 'Evening News'.

As RIA 'Novosti' writes, the basis for initiating a criminal case could be 'repeated offensive statements by Anisimov against law enforcement officers' and natives of Central Asia. TASS, citing law enforcement, stated that 'Anisimov could have participated in a campaign by Ukrainian PSYOPS to create distrust towards the leadership of the Kursk region'.

'Kommersant' reported that a search in the Anisimov case also took place at the director of the Ural project 'Yermak Media', Nikolai Yermakov. He is a witness in the case 'as a person who provided Anisimov with accreditation for journalistic activities', a source told the newspaper.

Anisimov is already accused in another criminal case of 'slander' and 'dissemination of family secrets' due to videos on the YouTube channel 'Beautiful Russia', which has 194 thousand subscribers. The journalist investigated the involvement of former member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Bogdan Novorok in the appropriation of city lands in Yekaterinburg.

On April 23, the day of the investigation's presentation, law enforcement came with searches to the office of the 'Beautiful Russia' editorial office, as well as to Anisimov's home. The journalist claimed that he was beaten during the arrest. The court imposed a measure of restraint in the form of a ban on certain actions.

The journalist's lawyer, Natalia Volkova, told 'Evening News' that her client is accused of 'inciting hatred and enmity', he is a suspect, and the journalist faces up to six years in prison. During the search, law enforcement seized computer equipment and information carriers.
