In the Belgorod region, a Council for the Protection of Traditional Values was created, headed by the governor

According to the Belgorod publication "Fonar" with reference to the order of the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov, the Council will develop "recommendations on issues of state policy concerning the preservation and strengthening of traditional Russian values."

The governor appointed himself as the chairman of the Council. It also includes regional ministers, Metropolitan Ioann, the head of the Belgorod Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the rectors of two universities - BelSU and BGIIK. Gladkov recommended that the heads of municipalities create similar Councils in their districts.

According to the publication "Pepel", since the beginning of the war, about 300 civilians and 1182 military personnel from the region have died in the Belgorod region, with another 189 soldiers reported missing.

Previously, councils for the protection of traditional Russian values were created in the Leningrad region, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, and the "DNR."
