«Air defense and electronic warfare systems destroyed unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Ryazan region. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties, and material damage is being assessed. All emergency services are working», — said Governor Pavel Malkov.
Meanwhile, Telegram channels, citing eyewitnesses, claim that the target was once again the local oil refinery.
According to readers of YA62.ru, air defense was «active over the refinery and automatic gunfire was heard». Astra* published a video, geolocating footage of the fire being spread in local media and chats. However, given that this is the second attack on the refinery in the last two days, confirming the date of the footage is quite difficult.
The last time the Ryazan refinery was attacked was on the night of January 24.
In total, according to the Ministry of Defense, 15 drones were shot down. «8 UAVs over the territory of the Ryazan region, 6 over the territory of the Kursk region, and one over the territory of the Belgorod region», — reports the department.
During the attack by Ukrainian drones, restrictions were imposed at the airports of Kazan and Izhevsk.
