The registry also included rapper Vladi from the group 'Kasta', four journalists, and the former coordinator of Navalny's headquarters* in Belgorod

The project 'Support for Political Prisoners. Memorial', according to the Ministry of Justice, disseminated materials and messages of 'foreign agents' and 'false information' about the decisions and actions of the Russian authorities.

The agency has similar claims against rapper Vladi from the group 'Kasta', and he was also reminded of his performances against the war in Ukraine. In September last year, 'Veterans of Russia' appealed to the Ministry of Justice, the Investigative Committee, and the Prosecutor's Office with a denunciation against the group 'Kasta', asking to recognize the musicians as 'foreign agents' and to check whether they are financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Political analyst and journalist Riddle Russia Anton Barbashin, in addition to spreading 'false information' and an anti-war stance, 'called for the introduction of restrictive measures against the Russian Federation', and also collaborates with 'foreign agents' and 'undesirable' organizations.

Journalist BBC** Olga Ivshina and journalists of 'Current Time'*** Alexey Prodaivoda and Arina Fedorovykh formed a 'negative image' of the Russian army and collaborated not only with 'foreign agents' but also with foreign media.

Former coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in Belgorod Maxim Klimov spread 'false information' about the actions of the Russian authorities, as well as about the electoral system of the Russian Federation and spoke out against the war in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Justice noted that all 'foreign agents' this Friday reside outside of Russia, including this in the argumentation of foreign influence against the interests of Russia.

The unified registry of 'foreign agents' has been maintained since December 1, 2022, and includes individuals, registered and unregistered non-profit and non-governmental organizations. Currently, it has more than 900 entries. 'Foreign agents' are required to publish texts and messages with a notification that they are produced by a 'foreign agent'. For evasion of fulfilling the obligations of a 'foreign agent', fines are provided, and in case of repeated violation of the legislation, criminal liability ensues. By the end of 2024, 170 people received two fines each under the administrative article on violation of the procedure of 'foreign agent' activities.

The State Duma passed a law prohibiting advertising with 'foreign agents', and 'foreign agents' themselves were prohibited from participating in elections. Also, all income of 'foreign agents' in Russia, including the sale and rental of real estate, will be credited to a special ruble account, which can only be accessed after the removal of the 'foreign agent' status.
