FSB detained a civilian pilot in Krasnodar on charges of 'treason'

FSB officers detained a Russian aircraft commander in the Krasnodar region, suspected of 'treason', state news agencies reported citing the agency's press service.

According to the FSB, the man 'proactively contacted a volunteer' collecting money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After this, the 56-year-old pilot received 'necessary instructions' and transferred cryptocurrency to the specified account. The man was sent to a pre-trial detention center.

As reported by 'Kommersant', the detainee is the commander of an aircraft at one of the civil aviation facilities in the Southern Federal District.

In footage published by the FSB, it is seen that the elderly man is detained near the building of the Krasnodar railway station. The special service officers tell him that he is detained on suspicion of treason, to which the man responds in a surprised voice: 'Me?' In the following footage, he is already being given a preventive measure in court.
