59-year-old resident of Khanty-Mansiysk Valery Ledkov** became a defendant in a criminal case on financing an «extremist» organization due to a donation of 300 rubles to FBK, reported the human rights project «OVD-Info»***.
The case was initiated on December 24, 2024, and four days later, the Khanty-Mansiysk City Court placed the specialist in the folklore of the Ob-Ugric peoples, Ledkov, under house arrest. He has also already been added to the list of «terrorists and extremists» by Rosfinmonitoring.
In June last year, Ledkov's son Konstantin was sent to a pre-trial detention center on charges of «discrediting» the Russian army, calling for activities aimed against state security, and repeatedly displaying prohibited symbols.
According to the investigation, Konstantin Ledkov, who had previously been held accountable under administrative protocols for displaying prohibited symbols and «discrediting» the military, in April 2024 «shouted slogans of a Nazi organization» in a village bar in the presence of visitors. In addition, the young man made several posts and published a video, the content of which the authorities do not disclose.
Previously, Ledkov Jr. was fined for the inscription «No to war» on a garage wall and a picture published on «VKontakte» with the outline of the Crimean peninsula against the background of the Ukrainian flag and the inscription «Crimea — is Ukraine».
