The Kalininsky District Court of Novosibirsk sentenced Dalerjon Achilov, a citizen of Tajikistan accused of «fakes» about the Russian army and hooliganism, to seven years in a general regime colony, the regional court press service reported.

According to the investigation, from February 2022 to March 2024, a meat department seller at the city market in two shopping centers in Novosibirsk «publicly disseminated knowingly false information» about the war in Ukraine and the actions of Vladimir Putin, as well as «expressed blatant disrespect for society on grounds of national hatred towards citizens of the Russian Federation, the social group of military personnel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, performing their duties in conducting a special military operation». In addition, the man insulted Russian women and condemned Putin's and the Russian government's decision to invade Ukraine, the court reported.

Under the article on military «fakes», Achilov was sentenced to six years in prison and was banned for two years from engaging in «activities related to the public dissemination of information about the activities of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation». Under the article on hooliganism, the man was sentenced to two years in prison. Ultimately, Achilov was sentenced to seven years in prison.

According to the human rights project «Support for Political Prisoners. Memorial», in March 2024, Achilov had a conflict with one of the saleswomen at the market. She reported that the man «condemned the special military operation», where her son fought, and «hated Russians». The woman filed a complaint against him with the police.

Achilov's lawyer, Natalia Vorontsova, told SotaVision*, that her client does not plead guilty, and his case is based on unsubstantiated facts. According to the lawyer, most of the prosecution witnesses could not specify when they heard insults from the man.
