On Friday, talks between Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will take place in Moscow, Russian news agencies reported. They are expected to sign a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the two countries and «discuss regional and international agenda issues».
A similar agreement was signed by Putin with Kim Jong Un last summer. According to the document, Russia and North Korea commit to provide military assistance to each other if one of the countries «is subjected to an armed attack by any state or several states and thus finds itself in a state of war».
Soon after, Ukraine, as well as South Korean and US intelligence, reported the deployment of 12,000 North Korean military personnel to the Kursk region.
