Russian troops struck an industrial facility in Zaporizhzhia, according to preliminary information, 13 people died and 18 were injured. Seven rescue brigades are working on site.
The head of the regional military administration Ivan Fedorov reported that Russia attacked industrial infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia.
The attack on Zaporizhzhia by the Russian Federation was responded to by the ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets. According to him, the Russian Federation once again confirmed "its true nature as a terrorist state by carrying out another barbaric shelling of the civilian population of Zaporizhzhia".
"The shelling of civilians is a war crime for which the perpetrators must be held accountable in international courts," the ombudsman reminded. Lubinets urged the international community not just to condemn these acts of aggression, but to act decisively — impose new sanctions, provide Ukraine with more defense resources, and support all efforts to hold Russia accountable.
On January 8, Russia struck with a CAB on the industrial infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia, one person died, five were injured.
