A resident of New Moscow, who is in a detention center on charges of "justifying terrorism," was fined for "LGBT* propaganda"

He wrote an ironic post in which he called himself the "founder and chief organizer of the extremist LGBT organization"

Anton Evdokimov, a resident of New Moscow arrested on charges of "justifying terrorism," was fined 100,000 rubles due to two publications about LGBT, found the case card on the court's website "Mediazona"**.

Evdokimov was found guilty under the protocol of "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations." The court considered the case in his absence, as he has been in Moscow's Butyrka detention center since the end of October on charges of "public justification of terrorism on the internet" due to a post about the explosion on the Crimean bridge.

According to the court's ruling, law enforcement found a photo of the LGBT flag and an ironic publication on Evdokimov's page, in which he "confesses" to "founding the extremist LGBT organization." Both publications were made in December 2023 — a week after the Supreme Court declared the non-existent "International LGBT Social Movement" as "extremist" and banned its activities in Russia. Under the post about responsibility for the "extremist organization" with the rainbow flag, there were "comments and four approving ratings," noted the judge in the decision.

* Recognized as an "extremist organization" in Russia.
