«Idel.Realities»* have identified the names of 25 525 deceased natives of the Volga region since the start of the full-scale invasion. Most of them were identified in 2024 — 16 581 names. In 2023, there were 6 744 names, and in 2022 — 2 200.
The largest increase in casualties over the year was shown by Tatarstan — the number of casualties in 2024 increased more than fourfold compared to 2023. The number of casualties over the year tripled in Bashkortostan (from 1 268 to 4 048), Perm Krai (from 928 to 2 917), Udmurtia (from 495 to 1 608), Kirov Oblast (from 459 to 1 525).
The leader in terms of losses is Bashkortostan, with the war claiming the lives of at least 4 048 soldiers from the republic. Next are Tatarstan with 3 578 casualties and Perm Krai with 2 917 names.
The smallest losses among the Volga region's territories so far have been in Penza Oblast — 562 casualties and Mordovia — 349 casualties.
