This is 72% more than last year

In 2024, 3,152 people were added to the Rosfinmonitoring list of 'terrorists and extremists' — a record since at least 2019, according to 'Verstka'*, which analyzed changes in the list tracked by a script by programmer Ivan Shukshin. 2,232 people were added to the list as 'terrorists', the remaining 920 as 'extremists'. This year's figure is 72% higher than last year, when 1,828 people were added to the list. This is the largest increase in the history of monitoring the list. Previously, the record difference was between 2020 (1,381) and 2021 (1,774) — 393 people.

Before 2024, the record year for the number of added 'terrorists' was 2023 (1,224), and for 'extremists' — 2021 (692).

In 2024, a record number of minors were added to the list — 161, which is 110 more than last year, the publication noted. This is the largest increase since at least 2019; previously, the largest difference was between 2022 (28) and 2023 (51) — 23 people.

Shukshin's script, in addition to general changes, tracks the addition of natives from four regions of Ukraine: Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk. This year, their number was also a record — 187 people. Previously, the maximum figure was in the previous year (63).
