«Important Stories»* geolocated the video footage with the deceased, which was published by telegram channels on the day of the shooting, and noted that it is located 10 minutes' walk from Shatsky's house in Kotelniki, which was mentioned in data leaks.
Today, Ukrainian media reported that the deceased was the deputy chief designer, head of the functional software department of the design bureau «Mars», Mikhail Shatsky. Citing their sources in the Ukrainian Defense Forces, UNIAN and «Ukrainian Pravda» noted that it was a special operation of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. «We remind you that every person who is in any way involved in the development of the Russian military-industrial complex and thus supports Russian aggression against Ukraine is a legitimate target for the Defense Forces», — UNIAN quotes its source.
The Moscow experimental design bureau «Mars» is a subsidiary of the state atomic energy holding «Rosatom». Shatsky was involved in the modernization of cruise missiles X-59 to the level of X-69, and colleagues considered him the main ideologist of the implementation of artificial intelligence in UAVs and other Russian aerial and space vehicles.
