The Leninsky District Court of Kursk sent the former deputy general director of the Kursk Region Development Corporation, Igor Grabin, to a pre-trial detention center for two months, the court's press service reported. A criminal case has been initiated under articles on abuse of official powers and large-scale fraud.
According to the investigation, in 2023, Grabin signed a contract and paid an unnamed company for the construction of a defensive line, although it had already been completed by another construction firm, which also received payment for it. As a result, Grabin unjustifiably spent more than 173 million rubles from the budget.
The court ruled to detain Grabin for two months.
Igor Grabin held the position of deputy head of the Kursk Region Development Corporation from February 2023 to September 2024, managing property.
