Together with the federal payment of 400 thousand rubles, a Russian contractor will receive an average of 1.3 million rubles upon entering service, calculated by «Important Stories»*.
Every Russian region increased the one-time payment for signing a contract at least once in 2024. By the end of the year, there were no regions left that did not pay new contractors, although in January there were 11 regions without such a payment — local residents who joined the military service received only the federal one-time payment.
The authorities of 17 regions increased the payment for signing a contract by 10 times or more. The Sverdlovsk region became the record holder for reward growth, where the regional payment to contractors was increased 75 times in 2024. Until February, it was only 20 thousand rubles, and after five stages of increase, it reached 1.5 million rubles.
The regional payment in the Ivanovo region increased 32 times over the year (from 50 thousand rubles to 1.6 million rubles) and 26 times in the Belgorod region (from 100 thousand rubles at the beginning of the year to 2.6 million by the end). In the Orenburg and Tver regions, the regional payment was raised 20 times over the year.
Record regional payments — 3 million rubles — are received in the Belgorod and Nizhny Novgorod regions (provided the contract is signed in the regional capital): 2.6 million rubles — payment from the region, another 400 thousand — from the federal authorities. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the payments are lower — 2.3 and 2.1 million rubles, respectively.
As calculated by «Important Stories», now an average of 13% of regional budgets for social payments to the population is spent on contractor payments.
