The career advancement of the former Austrian Foreign Minister was reported by the acting rector of the Ryazan university, Dmitry Bokov. “Today our university was visited by Karin Kneissl, an Austrian statesman, journalist, and politician, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria. During her visit to Yesenin RSU, it was agreed: Karin Kneissl will teach with us,” the official said.
According to Kneissl, she had to move from Austria due to threats related to her ties with Russia. Initially, she settled in a village near Ryazan, then moved to St. Petersburg. In September 2023, her two ponies were also transported to Russia on an IL-76MD.
Karin announced her final move to Russia in March 2024, calling the Russian Federation a "truly free country."
Karin Kneissl headed the Austrian Foreign Ministry from 2017 to 2019, and it was during this time, in 2018, that Vladimir Putin attended her wedding.
