The Tomponsky District Court of Yakutia fined a local resident under the article on «discrediting» the Russian army for sending videos with Russian prisoners of war, the telegram channel «Sibirmedia» drew attention to the court's decision.
FSB officers, who collected materials for the case, considered that the forwarded videos contained «signs of discrediting». As stated in the court's decision, the man posted videos about events in the Kursk region in the group «Batagai Poboltai», which has 509 members.
The defendant admitted his guilt. He explained that his son died in the war, and he wanted to «know the opinion of the people» about the information in these videos. But he assured the court that this would not happen again.
The court took into account the admission of guilt and the presence of minor children as mitigating circumstances, and the man received the minimum fine under this administrative article — 30 thousand rubles.
