His victory was officially confirmed by leading media outlets, Trump gains 277 electoral votes, Harris — 224, reports NYT

UPD: Donald Trump has already gained more than 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidential election, according to forecasts by leading Western media. According to calculations by Reuters, CNN, Associated Press and The New York Times, Trump has already gained from 276 to 279 electoral votes, while his opponent Kamala Harris — from 219 to 224 votes. As The New York Times writes, Trump will become the second US president in 120 years to return to the White House after losing the election following his first term.

Donald Trump delivered a speech to supporters in Palm Beach, Florida, thanking those gathered and declaring himself the 47th President of the United States, despite the fact that the vote count is not yet complete.

Trump stated that the election results give him a «huge feeling of love», and claims that the people have given him a «powerful mandate». «Today we made history! <...> I will fight for you every day». «This will be a golden age for America», — declared Donald Trump.

The Republican Party candidate is winning in all «swing states» — those key states where the battle between Democrats and Republicans usually takes place with a minimal margin.

In North Carolina, Trump is officially leading, as well as in the state of Georgia, which voted for Joe Biden in 2020.

Kamala Harris, through her representative, announced that she will not speak to supporters today — a clear sign that she no longer expects to win.

The first to congratulate Trump on his victory were the President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, and Chancellor of Austria Karl Nehammer.
