The Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol sentenced a 54-year-old local resident to five days of arrest under the protocol for displaying Nazi symbols, reported the press service of the city police department.
During the monitoring of the virtual space, the Center for Countering Extremism identified publications in one of the social networks displaying "prohibited symbols" and military "fakes," reported the Sevastopol police. It is also noted that after establishing his identity, he was detained "with the forceful support of the special unit 'Rosgvardiya'."
The law enforcement officers published a video of the man's arrest, in which masked special forces burst into the Sevastopol resident's apartment.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detainee was posting "prohibited symbols" and "fakes" about Russian military in Ukraine on social networks. Under the administrative article on "prohibited symbols," the man received an arrest, and the materials on military "fakes" were handed over to the Investigative Committee to decide on initiating a criminal case.
