According to a forecast by The New York Times, former President Donald Trump won in Georgia and North Carolina. These two 'swing' states, which went to Trump, significantly reduce the chances of Vice President Kamala Harris.
The Republican candidate in Pennsylvania, after processing 93% of the votes, is gaining 51%, while Harris has 48%. If Trump wins, he will have 265 electoral votes out of the required 270, effectively securing the presidency.
After counting 66% of the votes Trump is also leading in Michigan, gaining 52%, while Harris has 46%.
Only in Arizona, which has 11 electoral votes, after counting 54% of the votes, the candidates' results are separated by a few tenths of a percent.
In Nevada, which will give the winner 6 electoral votes, after processing 68% of the voters' votes, Donald Trump is leading — 51%, while Kamala Harris has 47%
The New York Times estimates Trump's chances of winning the election at more than 95%.
