The agency believes that IAIS «spreads information on the internet that discredits the leadership of the Russian Federation» and «promotes protest ideas»

The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation declared the activities of the International Association of Intellectual Games from Liechtenstein «undesirable». The club unites over 200 participants of sports versions of «What? Where? When?», «Brain Ring», «Your Game» and similar quizzes from Europe, Asia, and North America.

The agency believes that IAIS «spreads information that discredits the leadership of Russia», and participates in «propaganda campaigns» organized by «foreign anti-Russian centers», promoting protest and destructive ideas.

It is specifically emphasized that in IAIS competitions, people supporting Russia's invasion of Ukraine are prohibited from participating, while «foreign agents» and members of «undesirable» organizations are allowed to play.

IAIS was founded in 2021 by participants of the intellectual movement dissatisfied with the policies of the leadership of the International Association of Clubs (IAC) «What? Where? When?» The association organizes various tournaments on intellectual games in different countries. It also announced its intention to hold a world championship, but only after the end of the war in Ukraine.
