After the drone attack on the morning of October 29, the roof of the Russian Special Forces University building in Gudermes caught fire, reported the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. According to him, this happened at 6:30 am, the fire has now been extinguished, and the university's activities have not been suspended.
The "Russian Special Forces University" opened in 2013. After the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a training center for participation in the "SVO" was established there. The media called it one of the largest recruitment centers in Russia.
Since February 2024, the "university" has been named after Vladimir Putin, and since April, a UAV production facility was opened on its territory.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of seven Ukrainian drones: two over the Belgorod region, two over the Bryansk region, two over the Kursk region, and one over the Black Sea area.
