Orel resident Kirill Dolzhikov was declared wanted in a case regarding donations to the Anti-Corruption Foundation, he himself told «OVD-Info»**.
The young man is charged with the article on financing extremist activities. The reason for this was several transfers to FBK totaling 1,000 rubles after the foundation was recognized as an «extremist» organization.
Dolzhikov was detained on October 3, after a search of his apartment and his parents' apartment. They seized iPads, phones, old laptops, and documents.
The next day, the Soviet District Court of Orel sent the young man to a pre-trial detention center for a month. However, on October 19, the Orel Regional Court in an appeal replaced the preventive measure with house arrest. The investigator in the case was not present at the court session, and when Dolzhikov came to her after being released from the detention center, she mistakenly issued him a travel ban.
On October 22, Kirill Dolzhikov was declared wanted. Whether he is in Russia is not specified by human rights defenders.
On June 9, 2021, the Moscow City Court recognized the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK), the Citizens' Rights Protection Foundation (FZPG), and Alexei Navalny's headquarters as «extremist organizations».
According to «Holod»**, published in April, at least 53 people became defendants in the «FBK case». 18 out of 53 accused in the «FBK case» have already been convicted. 19 people managed to leave Russia before being detained: almost all of them are arrested in absentia and declared wanted. Another 16 people are awaiting sentencing. Over six months, the number of defendants in criminal cases increased by at least 10 people.
