UPD: The number of dead in Dnipro has risen to five, reported the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak.
As a result of missile strikes late on October 25 in Dnipro, a two-story residential building was partially destroyed, apartment buildings and one of Ukraine's most important hospitals — Mechnikov Hospital — were damaged.
Rescuers extracted 3 dead from the rubble of the two-story residential building, including a 14-year-old girl. Another woman was rescued. She was pulled from the destroyed house and handed over to medics. In total, preliminarily, 19 people were injured, including four children, rescuers reported.
The head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, wrote that the residential two-story building was destroyed as a result of the night missile attack. 13 apartment buildings and 2 private houses, 30 cars were damaged.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Mechnikov Hospital was damaged as a result of the attack on Dnipro.
“After everything said in Kazan (at the BRICS summit) the Russian killers returned to their usual business. And this once again proves that aggression cannot be stopped by talks, but only by decisive actions to protect the state and people against whom the war is unleashed,” Zelensky noted. “This war, which has only one culprit — Moscow, has been going on for the third year. That is why such pressure on the aggressor is needed, which can force it to stop terror and war. Reliable peace and security are acquired only through strength and determination.”
At night, the Russian army also attacked Kyiv, for the 16th time this month. Drones were launched at the capital of Ukraine from the southern and northeastern directions and entered in several waves, local authorities reported. Air alerts were announced three times in the evening and at night, lasting a total of 7.5 hours.
One of the drones attacked a multi-story residential building, initially, it was reported that two people were injured, later the number of injured from the “Shahed” attack rose to six people, a young girl died.
“In the apartment building in the Solomianskyi district, apartments from the 17th to the 21st floor were damaged. A fire broke out in one of the apartments on the 20th floor. In this building, rescuers later found the body of the deceased. In total, more than 100 people were evacuated from the building. 6 people were injured (1 of them hospitalized),” said the Kyiv administration statement.
In total, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detected 3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched from Crimea, 2 guided aviation missiles Kh-59 from the airspace of Bryansk region, 2 missiles of an unidentified type from Belgorod region, and 91 UAVs from Kursk and Orel.
