Almost half of all pardoned and returning from the war ex-convicts of the region committed crimes

Deputy Head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, Evgeny Kozlov, at a round table in the Tyumen Regional Duma on the topic of the socio-economic situation in the region, shared information about the crimes committed by Tyumen residents returning from Ukraine. Kozlov clarified that he is reporting for the period since May 2023, when, in his opinion, former convicts began to return from the 'SVO'.

“As of October 9, 378 people have arrived from the SVO zone. They have committed 128 crimes. Former SVO participants most often commit thefts — 65 cases,” quotes Kozlov the portal 72.ru.

As noted by “Govorít NeMoskva”, these words disappeared from local media reports, and they were cut from the TV broadcast of the “Region-Tyumen” channel.

Earlier, the publication “Verstka”*, having studied media reports and court record data, calculated that in two years, almost 500 people were affected by military personnel returning to Russia from Ukraine.
