Ukrainian drones attacked an oil depot in Adler. As a result of the hit, a fuel tank caught fire. The attack was confirmed by local authorities, with dozens of pieces of equipment and more than a hundred people involved in extinguishing the fire.
As reported by ASTRA*, on the night of August 3, Sochi residents wrote in local public forums about explosions and a fire. At Sochi International Airport, passengers were evacuated to a bomb shelter. After the attack, the Adler Rosneft-Kubannefteprodukt oil depot, located opposite the air harbor, caught fire. Sochi airport reported a suspension of operations for several hours.
The hit on the oil depot was confirmed by the mayor of Sochi and the governor of the region. The operational headquarters added that one tank with petroleum products with a capacity of 2000 cubic meters is burning at the oil depot, and garages and a nearby store also caught fire.
The governor of Voronezh Oblast, Alexander Gusev, reported that four people were injured as a result of the attack on the region. "Two residents of Voronezh were hospitalized, and another received assistance on the spot. A man from the suburbs was taken to the hospital with a burn. As a result of the fire, one private house was completely destroyed, and several others had damaged walls, roofs, and glazing. The fire in the suburbs also damaged an auto shop and a shed," Gusev wrote.
The Ministry of Defense reported intercepting 93 Ukrainian drones. Of these, 60 were over the waters of the Black Sea, 18 over the territory of Voronezh Oblast, seven over Belgorod, three over Bryansk, two over Kursk. And one drone each over Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, the territory of Krasnodar Krai, and the Republic of Crimea.
