As a result of the missile strike by the Russian army on Mykolaiv, residential buildings were damaged and destroyed, and seven people were injured, reported the head of the regional military administration, Vitaliy Kim.
On the evening of August 2, a Tu-22M3 bomber, which is a carrier of supersonic X-22 cruise missiles, was detected over the Black Sea, targeting civilian objects in Mykolaiv. As a result of the shelling, three private houses were destroyed in the city, and fires broke out.
«Another 23 private houses, 12 apartment buildings, six cars, a postal service branch, and a building materials store were damaged», — reported Kim. He also added that seven people were injured due to the strike, four of whom received medical assistance on the spot.
All night, the State Emergency Service firefighters extinguished a large-scale fire that resulted from the missile strike on Mykolaiv, with the fire area covering 1500 square meters.
