On July 14, the US president issued an ultimatum: if within 50 days, that is, by September 3, Putin does not end the war in Ukraine, Trump will impose "very tough" tariffs against Russia and its trading partners.
Now Trump has stated that he will reconsider the timeline. "I am going to shorten these 50 days that I gave him to a smaller number," said the president of Russia, without specifying exact dates.
The Moscow MOEX index decreased by 0.93% for the day following Trump's comment.
